1990 Ch. Latour Pauillac Premier Cru Bordeaux France
Many consider 1990 the last "classic" vintage in Bordeaux and Chateau Latour is unquestionably one of the greatest wines of the vintage. Astonishingly concentrated and tannic in its youth, the 1990 begs to be cellared for at least another 10 years. Like other great vintages of Latour, it will easily keep for decades if properly cellared.
Price: $595,00

1990 Ch. Mouton-Rothschild Pauillac Bordeaux
One of the five First Growths of the Bordeaux region, and one of the world's most sought after wines. Each vintage of Mouton incorporates an original work of art on the label. In 1990 the artist was Francis Bacon. Our current supply of this wine was purchased directly from a fine English cellar and both wine and labels are in pristine condition.
Price: $275,00

1990 Chateau de la Guimoniere Coteaux du Layon Chaume Loire Valley France
Decadently delicious when young, this multifaceted wine can age gracefully for 50 years or more. As with superlative Sauternes, the noble-rot affected Chenin Blanc grapes are hand-harvested in successive tries, or pickings. Owned by the Doucet family in Anjou's famous Chaume hamlet, the Chateau de la Guimoniere is the largest producer of Coteaux du Layon Chaume -- in possibly the greatest sweet-white-wine appellation of the Loire Valley. Have it the local way as an aperitif, with foie gras, or with chevre or blue cheese. Off-dry and comparable to the 1986 vintage, the 1985 has now matured and developed a wonderful mineral expression with honey and quince touches. This is a bottle to be decanted.
Price: $62,00

1990 Chateau Leoville-Las-Cases St Julien 2eme Cru Bordeaux
Without a doubt one of the super stars in Bordeaux. Officially a Second Growth in the 1855 classification, Léoville Las Cases has been making wine at First Growth quality levels for a long time. The vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), Merlot (17%), Cabernet Franc (13%) and Petit Verdot (3%).

1990 Chateau Rausan Segla Margaux Bordeaux France
Unlike the typically fragrant and silky wines one has come to expect from the appellation of Margaux, the 1990 Rausan Segla is powerfully tannic and backward. However, underneath its tough skin are incredibly delicious ripe fruit, sweet oak, cedar, and earth. Expect this beauty to start blossoming in 5 years and continue to bloom over the next 20 years.
Price: $110,00

1990 Dom. Romanee-Conti La Tache Grand Cru Burgundy France
DRC: The trump card for anyone wishing to exonerate Burgundy's stronghold on world wine domination. Domaine de la Romanee-Conti simply connotes the best ... the best of Burgundy, the best of France. Couple that esteemed acronym with La Tache and you've got trouble: of the six famed grand cru Vosne-Romanee vineyards, this precious, 15-acre plot is second in superiority only to the stratospherically priced La Romanee-Conti. The cosmic 1990 vintage will pay dividends to infinity and beyond!
Price: $995,00

1990 Domaine Leroy Richebourg Grand Cru Burgundy
Wines from the grand cru vineyard Richebourg are among the most remarkable in all of the Cote d'Or. They are the richest and most concentrated of all Vosne-Romanee's grand crus and many collectors favor them even over the more precious (and expensive) La Tache. This superb 1990 is from Domaine Leroy, one of Burgundy's very best producers. Enjoy now or cellar another 10 years.
Price: $995,00

|
1990 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanee Les Brulees Premier Cru Burgundy France
Les Brulees enjoys a high shoulder perch on Vosne-Romanee's vinous pyramid; of the commune's 57 premier cru vineyards, this precious plot is considered among the best handful. Pinot Noir hailing from Les Brulees is known for its toasty, smoky character, qualities which lent the vineyard its name ("brulee" is French for "burned"). The inimitable Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy's litany of fine wines are reference points in Burgundy. Not only are they paradigms of perfection, they are known to have aging potential well beyond that of her competitors.
Price: $475,00

|
1990 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru Beaux Monts Burgundy France
The wines of Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy are reference points for all fine Burgundy. The 1990 Beaux Monts is indicative of the Leroy style with its concentrated but supple red fruit and its earth and oak flavors. Like other Leroy bottlings, the 1990 was produced in minuscule quantities and is rare.
Price: $495,00
