1995 Armand Rousseau Ruchottes Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes Grand Cru Burgundy
This wine comes from a one hectare ‘monopole' vineyard named ‘Clos des Ruchottes' located within the Grand Cru appellation of Ruchottes Chambertin. ‘Monopole' indicates sole ownership of the vineyard (in this case by Rousseau) and ‘Clos' (meaning wall) indicates this vineyard is enclosed by a wall. Typically Clos des Ruchottes is softer with more finesse than other wines in Rousseau's portfolio, yet it still has the uncanny ability to age beautifully. The vines from this vineyard average over 45 years of age, and less than 500 cases of Clos des Ruchottes are produced annually.
Price: $99,95
