1996 Roumier Morey-St. Denis Premier Cru Clos de la Bussiere Burgundy France
The Roumier family acquired the six-acre Clos de la Bussiere vineyard in 1953 and built their family home there. The vineyard’s predominately clay-like soil provides a tight, firmly structured wine with complex flavors of minerals and fruit. The 1996 Clos de la Bussiere offers red cherry fruit, herbs, and a stony, earthy note. Drinkable now, this gem will be best from 2002-2006.
