Laurence Faller, winemaker at Domaine Weinbach, decided to make something really special with her very finest vineyard parcels. Grand cru Schlossberg has always produced the Domaine's finest Riesling but the L'Inedit! is a mighty step up from their other Schlossberg bottling. A Riesling with big shoulders and hips, one to marvel at today or age for 5-15 years. Serve on it's own and feel the magic of truly great wine.

1998 Glatzer Gotinsprun red Carnuntum Austria
Gotinsprun, the archaic name for the town where Glatzers lives, is an unusual red blend of 60% Zweigelt, 20% Blaufrankisch, 10% St. Laurent and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. All natives, but one, picked ripe and aged in new barriques. No oaky California wine this however, but an evocative blend that has plenty of character in a distinctly Austrian manner. A wine.com U.S. exclusive.
Price: $29,95

1998 Hudelot-Noellat Clos Vougeot Burgundy France
In choosing any fine Burgundy, the producer is always critical and is the real bottom line. This is especially true with wines from Clos Vougeot, one of the largest grand cru vineyards at some 125 acres. Dozens of producers make wine from it and not all are equal. This 1998 from Domaine Hudelot-Noellat is a superb example of what the vineyard can do. Opulent fruit and round tannins make it a candidate for 10-12 years in a good cellar.
Price: $72,00

1998 Hudelot-Noellat Nuit-St. Georges Premier Cru Murgers Burgundy France
Nuits-St. Georges somehow suffered the cruel fate of not having any grand cru vineyards to speak of. Fortunately, the top premier cru vineyards can, in the right hands, compete with the grand cru wines in a good vintage. Such is the case with the 1998 Murgers from Hudelot-Noellat. It displays layers of ripe red berry fruit and earthy complexities. While enjoyable now, it can be cellared over the next 7-10 years.
Price: $42,00
