1995 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Seven Springs Vineyard Willamette Valley Oregon
Burgundy's Cotes de Beaune has long been synonymous with fine Pinot Noir. Oregon's Willamette Valley is similar climatically to Burgundy, which may explain why this wine resembles red Burgundy. Roast some salmon to enjoy with this Pinot Noir and say "oh la la."

1995 Armand Rousseau Ruchottes Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes Grand Cru Burgundy
This wine comes from a one hectare ‘monopole' vineyard named ‘Clos des Ruchottes' located within the Grand Cru appellation of Ruchottes Chambertin. ‘Monopole' indicates sole ownership of the vineyard (in this case by Rousseau) and ‘Clos' (meaning wall) indicates this vineyard is enclosed by a wall. Typically Clos des Ruchottes is softer with more finesse than other wines in Rousseau's portfolio, yet it still has the uncanny ability to age beautifully. The vines from this vineyard average over 45 years of age, and less than 500 cases of Clos des Ruchottes are produced annually.
Price: $99,95

1995 Roumier Grand Cru Bonnes Mares Burgundy France
Bonne Mares is one of a dozen of the finest red wines produced in Burgundy. Although technically part of Chambolle-Musigny, a small portion of the vineyard is actually within the boundaries of Morey-St. Denis. Likewise, the wines combine the power of Clos St. Denis and the finesse of Le Musigny. This 1998 from Christophe Roumier is one of the best wines from the vineyard. Savor it now or cellar it over the next 12-15 years.

1996 Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru Burgundy France
Anne Gros took over her father’s interest in this domaine in 1988. She has elevated this estate to new heights as the wines are now more intense, concentrated, and age-worthy. Anne studied in Burgundy and Australia, thus she is open to experimentation and innovation, to make the best wine possible. This 1996 Richebourg is an inky, dark-colored beauty with opulent black fruit, cassis, and sweet, toasty oak character. This wine will begin to drink best at 10 years of age and will last at least another decade longer.
